Same old books - not new stories!

Honestly I'm going to see if I can return this. I got it for my 3 year old niece hoping to get her excited about super heroes/comics by sending her one at a time over the next year. I chose this pack because I naively assumed it would be different stories than what are currently out, but no.
I was hoping to share with my niece the love of heroes and hoping it would give her some better role models than Dora and Disney Princesses. So I was thinking the 5 heroes on the cover to be in 5 stories together fighting. But it's not. These books have been out for a while, you could've bought them seperately: Batman, Superman, Bad Weather, Big Heroes, and Flower Power. There are 5 books: 4 of them include only boys and the last one only includes girls. Oh and the story about the girls is called Flower Power! isn't that exciting! (sarcasm).
Yes maybe she might not notice that the boys are being used more often and possibly in a better light, and maybe it's really not a big deal... but why is it that way to begin with?
I love the fact that Little Golden Books has this deal with DC Comics so that parents who love comics can share that passion with their kids but PLEASE can we have some more stories!!! Have all the heroes fight together! Have Superman and Wonder Woman pair up to fight Lex Luthor. Have Bat Girl help/save Batman from Joker's snare! Write these books so that little 3 year old girls will be running around wanting to be super heroes too!

Great deal on super cute books!

My 2 year old daughter has recently taken an interest in superheroes. Initially, I bought the Batman! book, but our cat got sick right on top of it... Because he's apparently a jerk.
When I checked on Amazon to replace it, I saw that this set included 5 books and that per book, it ended up being a great deal! So far, she loves the books! The text is interesting enough, and gives a nice basic "background." The pictures are cute and interesting, and she enjoys "reading" it on her own, and asking questions about what is happening in the different drawings.

I think they are very cute.

I love it, but my toddler still prefers stories that are based on cartoons he sees on TV; so since these don't currently have a running TV show he isn't very interested but I'm hoping he'll grow into them. If he doesn't... well I'll probably just keep them to add to my DC comics collection.
