Edmund Dulac's Fairy Book contains 15 tales from various nations or cultures throughout the world. The tales are clever and worth a read, although I did find it to be a bit dull.
The stories would be ideal for an audience of children, though possibly slightly older ones, since some of them are long.
There is an active table of contents, though there are no illustrations. Page numbers are left in the text.

A Different and Interesting Selection

If you love fairy tales and are looking for a different selection from the ordinary, this book should should please. It contains 15 tales from Russia, England, Flanders, Belgium, Italy, France, Ireland, Serbia, Japan and China. While some have appeared in other forms I found it an intriguing and original selection that was very well told. Alas, there are no Dulac illustrations. Even in miniature black and white that would have been a bonus.

Reviews do not match digital book

There are no illustrations in this digital book only bookmarks where an illustration should have been. Also the publisher, Library of Alexandria, states in the description that there is an interactive table of contents and this is not true. I was disappointed in this purchase. Gave it 3 stars for the stories though I have not read them yet.
