still lots of links to the Anne McCaffery ideas but well worth reading for anyone who loves dragon books

Great second book in the series, can't wait for the next one. Still lots of likenesses to Anne McCaffery's white dragon stories but the world building is sufficient in this book to lessen the impact and to allow the author to shine in her own right. These will become a great little re-readable series in my collection.
Tesa is growing as a character as he mage powers strengthen and her links with the various types of dragon grow stronger. We finally get some idea of how and why there are people trying to steal the dragons and the reasons for the coming war. Well worth reading and for Anne's fans just put your "comparisons" aside and just enjoy the dragons.

Good book, sloppy editing

I just finished reading this second volume in the trilogy. The story moves fairly smoothly and I'd fairly well crafted. However, this manuscript needed the work of at least a good proofreader. The typographical errors were numerous and distracting. More importantly there were reminder notes to the author to check names and copy the description of Tesa's dress. Also, there were a number of instances where pronouns for both men and women were used to refer to the same character, frequently in the same sentence. I did like the book and have given it 4 stars, but I do hope the next volume is proofread with more care.
